Youth Summit in Accra

We must rely on the voice of young people to bring about change. The annual ECOWAS Youth Summit will take place in Accra from 5 to 6 June 2024. It will bring together participants from the 15 ECOWAS Member States, as well as technical and financial partners. Discussions will centre on the theme: ‘The voice of young people for change: digital innovation, inclusion, regional economic growth, peace and stability in West Africa’. The West African region is currently facing technological changes and challenges relating to economic growth, peacebuilding and security. Addressing these issues is essential to achieving common policies and regional integration. This inextricable link between security, peace and technological change has necessitated the implementation of inclusive policies to realise the Commission’s Vision 2050. This summit in Accra is a timely opportunity to make young people a driving force and a partner in change. This summit therefore aims to enable young people to play their full part in promoting the well-being of the region and Africa as a whole. #youth_summit #ecowasvolunteers #cedeao
