World Forum on Youth Development in China: the Director of the CDJS/ECOWAS leads a workshop

The Director of the Centre for Youth and Sports Development took part in the World Forum on Youth Development in China. The forum, which brought together participants from several countries and international organisations, aimed to explore the role of young people in the world. Participants also examined developments in digital technology, cultural heritage, innovation and green development. The forum provided an opportunity for participants to share experiences on personal development. These initiatives aim, by 2030, to ensure that young people are a social group that is aware of technological changes and the challenges relating to sustainable development, international peace and security. Hence the theme ‘Together for a Better Future’, which is a call to join forces to ensure young people’s voices are heard and to empower them to take appropriate action through training, education and the skills they have acquired. This forum in China aims to lay the foundations for the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Global Development Initiative.
