The ECOWAS International Marathon in Abuja is a flagship event organised by the ECOWAS Centre for Youth and Sports Development. This event aims to promote the fundamental values of ECOWAS: the integration of peoples, lasting peace and socio-economic development through sport. This marathon is open to runners of all nationalities and welcomes participants of both genders. All athletics enthusiasts, and marathon runners in particular, are invited to register via the following link: https://www.ecowasabujamarathon.org/ As a reminder, ECOWAS will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary in 2025. The Abuja Marathon is intended as an opportunity to commemorate, through sport, the ideals of the founding fathers of the organisation, which was established on 28 May 1975.
